Otto

Husky · Male · Puppy · 9 months

Meet cheeky Otto! Otto is a fun-loving Husky pup who is looking for an experienced home who are ready to begin an exciting journey with him and help shape him into a well-rounded adult dog. Otto is full of personality and typical Husky charm. He’s guaranteed to keep his new family on their toes and will bring plenty of fun, laughter, and energy into the home lucky enough to adopt him. As a young Husky, Otto will need owners who have the time and commitment to continue his training and help him build a strong foundation so he can thrive. With the right guidance and boundaries, Otto has all the potential to grow into a wonderful companion. He needs an adults only home away from the inner city and will need his own private garden. He will need to live with other dogs, ideally a pack of dogs that will be good role models of behaviour for him and teach him appropriate social skills! If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Otto, you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest.

About Otto

What life with Otto looks like

Otto is a medium-sized puppy/kitten husky dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Otto, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Otto?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Otto on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Otto if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Otto already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Otto isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Otto and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
