Everyone meet our next resident …. Oz!💚 Oz is an 18month, Dachshund. He is a lovely lad who came in to our care as part of a group of dogs from multi dog household. They came in due to no fault of their own, sadly their needs weren’t being met and he has sadly been used for breeding.😔 Not all the dogs in the household were neutered and they didn’t all get along however, Oz has shown he can be nervous of some dogs, happy around others and then he mirrors mostly what others do to him!🐾🐾 Oz is a nervous lad who takes a minute to warm up you however, once he knows you and trust you, he loves to sit on your knee. We haven’t seen any aggression, just nerves.🫶🏻 At the moment, he finds comfort in his crate or his bed. This is somewhere which is his safe place and it helps him settle. We do feel he would do better without the other dogs in came in to our care with however, he could possibly with the a well balance neutered female dog. 🐶 At the vets, even though he was so scared he did brill. He is up to date with vaccinations, flea, worm and is mirco chipped. He passed a full healthhcheck! Once more confident and settled, he will be neutered.🫶🏻 It’s clear he hasn’t seen much of the outside world or been walked much. He is learning what the world has to offer, slowly but surely. Each day he isn’t as nervous of the outside world.This is going to keep improving over time.🐾🐾 Oz needs a home with people who have worked with nervous, rescue dogs who are under-socialised with ‘normal’ life. As a rescue you always get our free behavioural help and back up for life. We are keeping things very simple and straight for Oz and he’s understanding more and more!🥰 This lad is happy in the car and will watch the world go by.
