Limburg Character/Temperament: Very social, playful, very sociable, attached, people-oriented, submissive, very affectionate and peace-loving Waiting since: 11.08.2025 Family-friendly: Yes Compatible with other cats: Yes Compatible with dogs: Yes Neutered: Yes Diseases/Handicaps: No FIV/Leukose tested: Leukose and FIV negative tested Outdoor access: Yes, in a quiet and cat-safe environment or a cat-safe enclosed garden Video of Ozzy and Nevo (neutered) Contact: Sybille Rienmüller / Daniela van Rickel Description: Ozzy was found at just one month old in the middle of the street in Orihuela. He was alone, without siblings, without a mother, and there was no other cat in sight. No one knows how he got there. He was very thin and dehydrated. He was in no good condition. Silvia took him home. He ate very poorly and gained weight slowly. He is now a healthy and handsome male cat. Ozzy is very social, very social, submissive, peace-loving, and friendly to his fellow cats. He is also very people-oriented. When Silvia comes to the garden shed, he runs to her and rubs his head on her legs and follows her everywhere. He loves to be stroked and cuddled, and he values human attention. Ozzy is used to living with other friendly and social cats. He plays very well with them and cuddles with them in the basket. Currently, he is with Racielle on foster care, together with Nevo, Rosa, and Pulguita (we present all three separately). He plays too nicely with Nevo. The two would fit well together. We are looking for a loving home for Ozzy with people who take the time to play and cuddle with him. Children are welcome. Ozzy also gets along well with dogs. Please keep in mind that small kittens cannot run around. They need affection, attention, and care. They must be shown that they can trust and feel safe. And playing and cuddling should not be neglected. For this, you should have enough time. Ozzy will not be placed as a pure indoor cat. He should get unrestricted outdoor access in a quiet and traffic-free environment in his new home. It should be a household where a cat flap is present or still installed. He will not be placed as a single cat. Cats already living in the family are welcome. If no cat of similar age and character lives in the family yet, we will gladly place him with one of our small male cats. Ozzy is FIV and Leukose tested, rabies, cold, plague, and Leukose vaccinated, dewormed, chipped, and neutered. Ozzy is now at Racielle's foster care (near Limburg) and can be visited if interested. There are also the 3 blindis Camala, Cedrik, and Carlo and also male cat Nevo.

About Ozzy

What life with Ozzy looks like

Ozzy is a small young adult cat waiting at Tierhilfe Anubis e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ozzy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ozzy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Anubis e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ozzy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ozzy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Anubis e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Ozzy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ozzy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Anubis e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ozzy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
