Paco

American Staffordshire Terrier · Male · Young · 2 years

Loulou is a character with a strong personality, exclusive, who has difficulty settling down. He will need reassurance and guidance to be integrated into a family. He still has things to learn, but he is willing and attentive to his master. He is therefore looking for a person who is present and knows dogs. He will need a very calm environment with few stimulations and have a place of his own where he can isolate himself if he wishes. A large yard in addition to daily long walks is desirable. At the shelter since 08/06/2024 (return from adoption).

Il lui faudra un environnement très calme avec peu de stimulations et disposer d’un endroit rien qu’à lui où il pourra s’isoler si il le souhaite. About Paco

What life with Paco looks like

Paco is a medium-sized young adult american staffordshire terrier dog waiting at L'Arche de Noé ASBL - SPA Maisières in Mons.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting Paco, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Paco?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. L'Arche de Noé ASBL - SPA Maisières handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Paco on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Paco if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — L'Arche de Noé ASBL - SPA Maisières will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Paco already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Paco isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with L'Arche de Noé ASBL - SPA Maisières early rather than rehoming privately; they know Paco and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
