Adopt Pączuś

Male · Kitten · 10 months

Meet Paczek – a cat full of energy in a fluffy package. He is a young, lively and curious kitten who will never let you get bored. He loves wands, tunnels, squeaky mice and all kinds of "hunting" games. He can climb really high and often comments on the world with a loud "meow," so if you are dreaming of a talkative companion – this is him. >> Paczek will best find his place in a home with another equally active cat – a calmer friend would probably drive him crazy. He is not afraid of dogs, so they can be his companions. Due to the fact that he sometimes bites hands, he is not suitable for a home with small children. He is a big glutton – he will not miss an opportunity to look into a plate, jump on the counter or even approach hot pots, so the new caregiver must remain alert. It is also important that there are no toxic plants in the house – Paczek loves to nibble them. Despite his energetic character, Paczek has a huge heart. He often jumps onto laps, lies on necks or heads and falls asleep purring right next to the ear. After a while, he moves to his own nest, but closeness to people is very important to him.

Poznajcie Pączka – kociego wulkan energii w puchatym opakowaniu. To młody, pełen życia i ciekawości świata kociak, który nie pozwoli Ci się nudzić. Uwielbia wędki, tunele, piszczące myszki i wszelkie zabawy w „polowanie”. Potrafi wejść naprawdę wysoko i często komentuje świat głośnym „miauu”, więc jeśli marzysz o rozmownym towarzyszu – to właśnie on. 👉 Pączek najlepiej odnajdzie się w domu z drugim, równie aktywnym kotem – spokojniejszego przyjaciela raczej by… zamęczył.

About Pączuś

What life with Pączuś looks like

Pączuś is a puppy/kitten cat waiting at Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań in Poznań.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pączuś, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pączuś?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pączuś on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pączuś if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pączuś already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pączuś isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pączuś and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
