Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this dog now! Pai has now arrived in Germany and is showing herself to be a completely uncomplicated, friendly and lively young dog. The approximately 1.5-year-old female dog had to grow up together with her sister Pinar in the Romanian shelter, while her sister Colada was allowed to leave as a puppy. Despite this difficult start, Pai has retained her open and loving nature. She meets people warmly, friendly and very approachable. She is happy to receive attention, actively seeks closeness and enjoys cuddles and quality time together. With her charming character and cheerful nature, she quickly captures the hearts of her humans. In daily life, Pai is completely problem-free. Walking on a leash is already going well and she likes to rely on her trusted people. Pai is absolutely compatible and social with other dogs. She lives harmoniously with them and shows openness and friendliness in contact. Only with cats and small animals should Pai not, at least not without supervision. Otherwise, Pai has excellent prerequisites for a relaxed coexistence. She is curious, open and ready to discover the world together with her humans and continue learning. For Pai we wish a loving home with people who enjoy giving a young female dog continued security, safety and family connection. She is suitable both as a single dog and with an existing, confident only dog. Anyone looking for a friendly, uncomplicated and cuddly companion will find in Pai a wonderful female dog with lots of heart. If you have fallen in love with the beautiful Pai and would like to offer her a proper dog's life, then contact us! After a positive reference check. She would also be very happy about a foster home. We would like to thank Saskia B., who chose the name for our Pai. Status: 01.03. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 01.03.2026

About Pai

What life with Pai looks like

Pai is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pai, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pai?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pai on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pai if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pai already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pai isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pai and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
