Ihre Besitzer hatten den Balkon nicht gesichert und dann kann genau sowas passieren! Es wird leider oft unterschätzt und teils belächelt, dass auch wir einen mit Katzennetz gesicherten Balkon bei Wohnungshaltung verlangen.. wenn der Jagdinstinkt einer Katze geweckt ist, sei es durch einen Schmetterling, einen großen Käfer oder einen Vogel, vergisst die Katze, dass sie besser nicht hinterherspringen sollte. Paige hat Gottseidank überlebt, aber hat sicherlich bei dem Sturz einer der sprichwörtlichen 7 Katzenleben verwirkt, aber sie hat ja noch 6! Es musste eine Femurkopfresektion in der Tierklinik vorgenommen werden, die sie sehr gut überstanden hat. Paige wurde danach abgegeben, da die Familie die OP-Kosten nicht zahlen konnte. Paige ist wirklich nur lieb! Sie sitzt nun bei uns im Tierheim in einer kleinen Box oft an der Fensterscheibe und maunzt leise, wenn sie jemanden kommen hört oder sieht. Sie muss einen Trichter tragen, damit sie sich nicht an der heilenden Wunde die Fäden zieht. Sie erträgt das erstaunlich tapfer und wenn man sie streichelt, legt sie sich sofort auf die Seite und fängt an zu schnurren. Sie muss noch einige Wochen Boxenruhe halten und darf nicht springen, damit der neue Oberschenkelknochen richtig zusammenwächst! Wir suchen eine liebevolle Pflegestelle oder auch ein Für-immer-Zuhause. Voraussetzung dafür sollte sein, dass man einen ca. 1-2qm großen Gitterkäfig ins Wohnzimmer stellen kann, wo auch das Katzenklo, das Futter, Wasser und ihr Schlafplatz reinpasst und man sie nur darin hält. Die Box ist groß genug, dass man sich zu ihr setzen kann. Falls man Paige ein Für-immer-Zuhause geben will, sollte sie später in den Freigang gehen dürfen oder wenigstens in einen ausbruchsicheren Garten oder Hof gehen können. Im Video sieht man auch schön, das Paige eine richtige Schmusebacke ist.
