PAIN PITA

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Pain Pita - 5 months Pain Pita is an adorable little female who is very, very affectionate and particularly demanding of attention. With her, it's hard to go unnoticed: she loves caresses, attention, and moments shared with her humans. Curious, at ease, and not really fearful, Pain Pita also loves to play, explore, and especially climb. She will therefore need an environment where she can expend her energy, discover, and take a bit of height. She can live with children and other cats. Her compatibility with dogs remains to be tested. Pain Pita will need some space to flourish fully. Access to the outdoors can also be considered once sterilized, large enough, and perfectly accustomed to her new home. Pain Pita must remain indoors until her sterilization. This is mandatory at the age of 6 months for any kitten adopted from the shelter and remains the responsibility of the adopter. Pain Pita is looking for a present family, ready to offer her games, places to climb... and especially a lot of cuddles every day.

About PAIN PITA

What life with PAIN PITA looks like

PAIN PITA is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Refuge Angoumois in Angoulême.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting PAIN PITA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PAIN PITA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Refuge Angoumois handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PAIN PITA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PAIN PITA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Refuge Angoumois will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PAIN PITA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PAIN PITA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Refuge Angoumois early rather than rehoming privately; they know PAIN PITA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
