Pajda

Female · Adult · 5 years

Pajda is looking for a quiet and loving home! Pajda is a 3-year-old female dog weighing around 10 kg. She is a friendly girl who resembles a larger version of a dachshund. She is sensitive and initially reserved. She needs time to trust new people, but once she feels safe, she seeks human contact on her own. She enjoys cuddling, allows herself to be picked up and is happy to be close to her owner. She can walk on a leash, but still needs support and confidence during walks. We are looking for a quiet home for her that will help her find her place in the new reality. Pajda would best fit in a home with a calm and stable dog that would give her confidence and make it easier for her to acclimate. We are looking for a home without young children or with children over 12 years old, which would respect her sensitive nature and give her as much time as she needs to feel safe. The description is based on observations of the dog in the shelter. Pajda is under the care of OTOZ Animals Shelter in Tczew. Registration number in the shelter: 191/26 The female dog is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and spayed. Contact for adoption: 58 531 96 56

Pajda szuka spokojnego i kochającego domu! Pajda to około 3-letnia suczka, ważąca około 10 kg. Kontakt w sprawie adopcji: 58 531 96 56

About Pajda

What life with Pajda looks like

Pajda is a small adult dog waiting at OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pajda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pajda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pajda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pajda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pajda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pajda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pajda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
