Pamina

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal!Pamina has found her home! Her story: The little magic mouse with the milk mustache is seeking her fortune! Pamina is a small, affectionate female puppy in black and white, ready to turn your life upside down! Her charming milk mustache makes her an irresistible sight. With her 3.3 kg weight and 20 cm height, Pamina is likely to remain small. Pamina and her siblings were rescued from a forest parking lot, miles away from any civilization, where they were exposed to hunger and cold. But this sad chapter is now closed. Pamina is an active, very loving, and incredibly clingy personality, looking forward to the future. She is a social soul and gets along well with other dogs. Compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. Pamina currently lives in Bologa and eagerly awaits her big chance. We are looking for people who can master the adventure of puppyhood and adolescence with calmness and humor. Pamina is a raw diamond that still needs to learn the basics: Puppyhood means intensive training: housebreaking, setting clear rules, and positive building of independence are now essential to prevent separation anxiety. Small teeth, big curiosity: People must be able to handle a puppy's natural curiosity and small teeth and ensure comprehensive socialization. Like any young dog, Pamina will also enter adolescence. In this "teenager" phase, she will test boundaries and question commands. This requires her people to have consistency, patience, and a secure leadership to guide her through this important developmental phase. Those who take on Pamina will get an incredibly clingy, happy, and active companion who enriches every day with her positive nature and whose upbringing is a wonderful shared task. Pamina travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, together with her EU pet passport, to her new home. She would also be thrilled to go to a foster home. Thank you, Astrid! With your namesake sponsorship, you have freed Pamina's path to a happy future. As of: 08.12.

Danke Astrid! Mit Deiner Namenspatenschaft hast Du Paminas Weg in eine glückliche Zukunft freigemacht. Stand: 08.12.2025

About Pamina

What life with Pamina looks like

Pamina is a extra-large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pamina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pamina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pamina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pamina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pamina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pamina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pamina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
