Panda

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Male Β· Kitten Β· 4 months

🐼 Meet Panda – A Curious Little Explorer Looking for His Forever Home 🐾Panda is a gorgeous 14-week-old boy with a sweet, gentle nature and a love of exploring. He is a keen little investigator who likes to know what’s going on and enjoys discovering every corner of his surroundings. Relaxed and playful, Panda is happy entertaining himself with toys but also enjoys spending time with his people.Although he is generally confident, Panda can be a little nervous around loud noises, so he would appreciate a home where he can settle in at his own pace. He would love to live with another young, confident cat who can be his friend and help build his confidence. When Panda first arrived in our care, he was showing symptoms of cat flu. He has recovered well and is feeling great, but as with many cats who have had cat flu, symptoms may occasionally flare up during times of stress.Panda could live with children of secondary school age who will understand when he needs a little reassurance and respect his space. If you’re looking for a playful, inquisitive little companion to join your family and an existing young feline friend, Panda could be the perfect addition.

About Panda

What life with Panda looks like

Panda is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Panda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Panda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Panda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Panda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Panda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Panda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Panda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
