Adopt Paproch

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Heartbreaking to look into eyes that have lost hope... 💔 Paproch was not long ago the first at the fence... Now he no longer runs to the fence first... He stays back and watches... We see this sadness in his eyes, we see that he is losing hope... Paproch - a wonderful dog with a broken heart... In mid-February 2025, we were afraid for his life for three days... We were afraid we would lose him. He had a seizure, then another one. He was exhausted and so weak he wasn't even able to go out for walks, which he used to look forward to so much. We managed to find the right dose of medication, and Paproch started regaining his strength. We don't know if he already had seizures before arriving at the animal shelter and that's why he was abandoned? Or maybe it was a strong reaction to stress?? Since then, we haven't noticed any more seizures, and he has started getting to know us again, leaning into our arms. We know that despite his wonderful character, his chances of adoption are decreasing... But we are fighting. We hope it will work out.... Paproch is about 5-6 years old. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He lives in a kennel with other dogs, doesn't bother anyone. Very obedient and affectionate towards people. He is gentle, just wants to cuddle. He takes his medication twice a day. WE BEG FOR A FAMILY WHO WILL BESTOW LOVE, THE BEST CARE AND A HOME WHERE HE WILL REGAIN PEACE AND A SENSE OF SECURITY...

Ciężko patrzeć na oczy które straciły nadzieję… 💔Paproch jeszcze nie dawno był pierwszy przy kratach… Teraz już nie podbiega do krat jako pierwszy z bosku… Zostaje z tyłu i obserwuje… Wykastrowany, zaszczepiony i zaczipowany. W boksie mieszka z psami, nikomu nie wadzi. Do człowieka bardzo uległy, kontaktowy. Jest delikatny, tylko by się przytulał.Dwa razy dziennie przyjmuje leki. About Paproch

What life with Paproch looks like

Paproch is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Paproch, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Paproch?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Paproch on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Paproch if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Paproch already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Paproch isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Paproch and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
