Parmesan

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 8 months

**Hello, we’re Spaghetti and Parmesan!** We’re two adorable 8-month-old Yorkiepoo x Cockapoo youngsters looking for our forever homes. We may still be babies, but we’ve already mastered the art of making people smile with our wagging tails, playful personalities, and affectionate natures. The world is still a very big place for us, and we’re both looking for patient, understanding families who can help us continue building our confidence. New experiences can sometimes feel a little overwhelming, so we’ll need ongoing positive reinforcement, gentle guidance, and puppy socialisation classes to help us grow into happy, well-rounded adult dogs. **I’m Spaghetti!** I absolutely love people and enjoy playing, exploring, and being involved in whatever my family is doing. Because I like having all the attention to myself, I’d ideally love to be the only dog in the home. However, with the right introductions and management, I could potentially live alongside other pets. What I really need is a family committed to helping me build my confidence and showing me that the big wide world isn’t such a scary place after all. **And I’m Parmesan!** I’m a fun-loving, playful little chap who is ready to take on life’s adventures with my new family. I can happily live with another dog and could also share my home with other pets. Like Spaghetti, I will benefit from puppy socialisation classes and ongoing confidence-building work, but with patience and encouragement, I’m sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. We are both looking for homes with sensible children aged **11 years and over**, who can understand that we’re still young dogs learning about the world around us. Most of all, we’re loving, playful, and full of potential. We enjoy games, cuddles, and spending time with our people, and we’re ready to reward the right families with endless affection, laughter, and companionship. If you’re willing to invest a little time and patience in helping us grow in confidence, we’ll repay you with a lifetime of love. Could you be the family we’ve been waiting for?

About Parmesan

What life with Parmesan looks like

Parmesan is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Jerry Green Dog Rescue in Lincoln.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Parmesan, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Parmesan?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jerry Green Dog Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Parmesan on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Parmesan if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jerry Green Dog Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Parmesan already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Parmesan isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jerry Green Dog Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Parmesan and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
