Breed: Crossbreed Age: 15-12-2020 Coat: Short-haired Medical: Vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, dewormed, and flea-treated. Temperament: Cheerful, enthusiastic House-trained: Yes Hi, I’m Pascal. I originally come from Romania but have been living in the Netherlands for quite some time now. I’ve adjusted really well here. My people are truly the best! Indoors, I’m a lovely cuddlebug and love being around you. I also enjoy lounging comfortably in my basket or on the couch. Outdoors, my nose takes over, and I’m busy sniffing endlessly everywhere. We’re still working on building up our bond during walks. For a tasty sausage, I’m happy to put in a little effort—but as soon as there’s nothing more to find, I quickly get distracted again. Other dogs sometimes make me a bit nervous. Some I actually like—those are usually the girls, of course. I’d happily sniff around with them or go for a walk together. So far, I’ve liked all the people I’ve met here. I’m happy to join everyone for a walk, and I haven’t had any issues yet when passing other people outside either. That’s exactly why I ended up at HondenCampus. At my previous place, in the kennel, I wasn’t very nice toward people I didn’t know, and when I was really stressed, I might even snap at them. Here, they believe that if I find a nice spot to call home, this behavior will no longer happen. Do you have that nice spot for me? Then please get in touch via

Hier heb ik me goed aangepast.

About Pascal

What life with Pascal looks like

Pascal is a adult dog waiting at Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant in Netherlands.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pascal, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pascal?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pascal on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pascal if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pascal already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pascal isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pascal and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
