Adopt Pascha

Mixed Breed · Male

Name: Pascha Age: Born in early 2022 Breed: Dwarf Spitz Gender: male dog Get-along with dogs? Came with his girlfriend Rina to the animal shelter Get-along with cats? Possible, can be tested on an individual basis More likely friendly or shy? Friendly Notes: Pascha came to the animal shelter together with his girlfriend Rina, after their owner unfortunately passed away and no one could take care of the two of them. He is a friendly and typical representative of his breed – a true heart dog who simply captivates with his quirks. Pascha was born in early 2022 and is familiar with life in a house, loves going for walks with his handlers, and is also used to car rides. We wish for people who understand the specialities of his breed and can offer him a loving home. Regular fur care for a spitz should be on one's mind. Rina is initially a bit reserved and wants to assess who she is dealing with, but she warms up quickly and then hangs on very closely to her trusted people. Ideally, we would like to place Pascha together with Rina, as the two make a great team. Should that not be possible, a single spot or a home with a compatible second dog is also an option. If you meet Pascha and want to give him a second chance, we look forward to your contact!. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations. Gets along with other dogs.

About Pascha

What life with Pascha looks like

Pascha is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Ludwigsburg in Ludwigsburg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pascha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pascha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Ludwigsburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pascha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pascha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Ludwigsburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pascha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pascha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Ludwigsburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pascha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
