PASHA

Male · Senior · 16 years

Our European Shorthair tomcats Gizmo and PASHA were born in January 2010 and are both neutered. The two came to us because their previous owner could no longer care for them due to an illness. Gizmo and PASHA are looking for a quiet and loving home with people who can give them time to settle into their new environment. They are suitable for families with children from a slightly older age. Both are compatible with fellow animals. They will be rehomed in suitable for apartment living situations. They would enjoy a fully enclosed and escape-proof balcony, but this is not a requirement. When meeting new people, Gizmo and PASHA initially show some fear and shyness. With a bit of patience and the necessary adjustment time, they develop trust and become friendly, people-oriented, and cuddly companions. They enjoy the closeness of their people and look forward to quiet cuddle hours together. Additionally, they share and seek out contact with their trusted people in their own special way. PASHA had slightly elevated kidney values in the past. However, during the last check-up, these were within the normal range. Nonetheless, his kidney values should be checked by a veterinarian precautionarily about every six months. To support him, he receives special kidney food, which he enjoys very much. -0Fax:. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations.

-0Fax: 089/90 73 20E-Mail

About PASHA

What life with PASHA looks like

PASHA is a senior cat waiting at Tierschutzverein München.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting PASHA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PASHA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein München handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PASHA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PASHA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein München will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PASHA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PASHA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein München early rather than rehoming privately; they know PASHA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
