Adopt Pasteet

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Pasteet is a male kitten with a ginger and white coat, who is very lively. Pasteet was wandering for a long time on Tapa streets, but no one claimed him or looked for him. However, he was already neutered - so he once had a home, from which he unfortunately just ended up leaving. Pasteed is his biggest joy, whether it's paste or any other delicacy. Although he has left his mark on the street - he is toothless, and he doesn't let it bother him in the slightest. Pasteet enjoys eating with all his heart and does so impressively enthusiastically. Pasteed has been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (a heart muscle disease that involves thickening of the heart muscle - HCM), which currently does not require treatment. In addition, there are changes in the digestive tract, which may be caused by an inflammatory or immune-related process, and requires daily treatment. Pasteet needs regular check-ups with the doctor and treatment to maintain his health. If you would like to support his journey, you can join our regular donors' circle here: Support - MTÜ Kassiabi. Pasteet was born in the summer of 2018.

Pasteet on koheva punase-valge kasukaga, väärika olemisega kassipoiss. Pasteet on sündinud 2018.aasta suvel.

About Pasteet

What life with Pasteet looks like

Pasteet is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at MTÜ Kassiabi in Estonia.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pasteet, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pasteet?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. MTÜ Kassiabi handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pasteet on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pasteet if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — MTÜ Kassiabi will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pasteet already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pasteet isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with MTÜ Kassiabi early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pasteet and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
