Pasziánsz

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 9 years

Pasziánsz is a male mixed breed dog born approximately in 2017, with black brindled coat, who escaped from a chain thanks to Babák Kata, an animal welfare worker. He had a broken, twisted leg. His front leg was severely broken, but there was also a problem with his pelvis, he could hardly stand up and stay upright. He was immediately taken to the Délpesti Animal Medical Center, where he went through the first big step of his long recovery, the first orthopedic bone surgery and then the neutering procedure. He has now also passed the suture removal, so we have cautiously started to load his legs. A heartworm rapid test performed upon entry was positive, so he had an echocardiogram. During the examination, a small number of sporadic atrial extra beats were visible. This does not require special treatment, but it is recommended to administer omega 3-6 supplements and an annual echocardiogram check. Regarding heartworm, the cardiology report is negative, no mature worms are visible in the area examined by ultrasound. There is no pulmonary hypertension. Based on the observed image, stage 1 heartworm can be confirmed. We have started an alternative, slow drug therapy together with the necessary every two weeks advocate/moxiclear spot-on drops. Thanks to these, fortunately, Pasziánsz has recovered from heartworm! Despite the pain, Pasziánsz was always patient and kind. Now that he no longer has any pain, he is smiling all day long, happily giving kisses. He is a true family dog who greatly needs human company. We are looking for an owner who can make him forget all the bad things he experienced in his life so far and prove to him that life is beautiful and that he is also worthy of love and affection. He can bring a lot of joy and happiness to his beloved owner. We are only looking for a home where he can be a full-fledged family member. We hope that his angel comes, the one who was waiting for him, who gives him everything he may not have received before, a home worthy of a dog and a family member, a safe and loving home. Vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, available for adoption.

A látott kép alapján szívférgesség 1-es stádiuma igazolható. Alternatív, lassú gyógyszeres terápiát kezdtünk a 2 hetente szükséges advocate/moxiclear spot-on cseppezéssel együtt. Ezeknek köszönhetően szerencsére KIGYÓGYULT a szívférgességből! About Pasziánsz

What life with Pasziánsz looks like

Pasziánsz is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

Note from the shelter: Recovered from heartworm disease, had orthopedic surgeries for broken leg, requires annual heart ultrasound monitoring and omega 3-6 supplements

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pasziánsz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pasziánsz?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pasziánsz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pasziánsz if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pasziánsz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pasziánsz isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pasziánsz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
