🐾 Patch β€” Bright, Loving, and Ready for Her Forever Home DOB: 23 January 2026 Patch is one of three tiny sisters who came into our care in February at just around four weeks old. Since then, she’s been raised in a loving environment with cats, other dogs, and children β€” and she adores every bit of attention she can get. She’s a clever, confident little girl who’s expected to grow into the larger side of medium. Patch is bright, switched‑on, and full of that puppy enthusiasm that makes her a joy to be around. 🩺 Health & Travel Neutered Brucellosis tested β€” negative Passport ready Patch is now looking for a family who will give her the love, guidance, and fun she deserves. If you’re interested in offering Patch a home, please send us a message. PLEASE SHARE β€” home check and adoption fee apply.

About Patch

What life with Patch looks like

Patch is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Santerpaws Bulgarian Rescue in Bulgaria.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window β€” house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

πŸ‡§πŸ‡¬Adopting from Bulgaria

Bulgarian shelters typically include full vet workup, sterilization, and passport. Many coordinate with EU rescue partners for direct transport to adopter cities in Germany, Netherlands, and Austria.

Frequently asked

Adopting Patch, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Patch?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Santerpaws Bulgarian Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Patch on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Patch if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Santerpaws Bulgarian Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Patch already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Patch isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Santerpaws Bulgarian Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Patch and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
