Patty & Pitty

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 3 months

We are Patty and Pitty... a sweet kitten duo looking for a forever home. This is us: We were found and were able to recover on a loving foster home. Age-appropriately, we are playful and cheerful, we look forward to a lot of action, space to romp and play. But quiet retreats are also important to us, of course. We need some time to build trust - a lot around people is still unfamiliar to us, and we have to learn a lot about that. But once we are thawed, we are affectionate and sweet. We find women better than men so far. We wish for... a home that has a lot of time for us, with many climbing and hiding possibilities. A balcony (secured) would be great, alternatively at least a secured window. Children living in the household should already be bigger and sensible. Do you have a great home for us? Then contact us via the request form below. We are already looking forward to our adventures and cuddle hours together.

About Patty & Pitty

What life with Patty & Pitty looks like

Patty & Pitty is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Tierheim Berlin in Berlin.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Patty & Pitty, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Patty & Pitty?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Berlin handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Patty & Pitty on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Patty & Pitty if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Berlin will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Patty & Pitty already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Patty & Pitty isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Berlin early rather than rehoming privately; they know Patty & Pitty and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
