We don’t know how long or what pain Pätu was going to feel until his “owner”, unable to control his emotions, decided to throw the cat out the window. We know that Pätu, with your help and the deep care of the volunteers, got everything we could do for him. But it wasn't enough. Now all we have to ask is: What if... if someone had noticed earlier, got to the doctor faster, immediately found the right reason to treat... And we'll never get those answers. Thank you to everyone who has supported Pätu, made donations on his behalf and will continue to donate on behalf of SOS cats. We're heartbroken it ended like this. At the end of the day, he showed his confidence in people. We all owe it to him to make sure that fewer cats suffer in this way. Rest in peace, Pätu, and forgive me for not being able to do more for you. Pätu was thrown out of a 5th floor window like a garbage bag on August 6. Cats that fall so high usually have multiple traumas, many of them even having to euthanize them. Pätu was quickly taken to the Clinic of the University of Life Sciences, where it turned out that Pätu had been very lucky – there were no broken bones, no internal organs, no ruptured bladder. But unfortunately, the cleft palate that most high-fallings have was still, and extensive. It needed an operation that was done and we hope very much that it will grow up beautifully and will not have to do another corrective surgery. In addition, one fang had broken. Weight was only 3.48kg – very starved for a large male cat. He’s a very friendly cat who wants to be gentle. He was also castrated and chipped during the operation. Along with many tests, surgery and hospital days, the bill was ca 1100.- Additional re-analysis and inspection to the clinic. Right now, I am in a nursing home. Can be donated
