May you rest in peace, Patu. Pätu's death was unjust, his suffering avoidable. Unfortunately, none of the funds were enough when faced with such negligence. We don't know how long and what pain Pätu had to endure before his "owner", unable to control his emotions, decided to throw the cat out of the window. We know that with your help and the deep care of volunteers, we did everything we could for Pätu. But it was not enough. Now we are left wondering: What if... if someone had noticed earlier, got to the vet faster, found the right treatment immediately... And we will never know the answers. Thank you to everyone who has lived with Patu, made donations in his name, and continue to donate for SOS cats. We are broken that it ended this way. Until the last moment, Pätu showed his trust in people. We all owe him a joint effort so that fewer cats have to suffer in this way. Rest in peace, Pätu, and forgive us for not being able to do more for you. Pätu was thrown out of the 5th floor window at night on August 6th like a trash bag. Cats that fall from such heights usually have serious injuries, many have such injuries that they must be euthanized. Pätu was quickly taken to the University of Tartu clinic, where it turned out that Patu was lucky - there were no broken bones, internal organs or a ruptured bladder. However, unfortunately, there was a severe oral wound, which is common in cats that fall from high places. This required surgery, which was done and we very much hope that it will heal beautifully and will not need another corrective operation. In addition, one of the claws was broken. The weight was only 3.48 kg - very undernourished for a large male cat. Pätu is very friendly, a very gentle kitten who wants to be very lively. He also got neutered and microchipped during the surgery. Along with many analyses, the surgery and hospital days, the bill was about 1100.- Additional repeat analyses and check-ups at the clinic. Currently, Patu is at the foster home.

🥀PUHKA RAHUS, PÄTU🥀 Pätu surm oli ebaõiglane, tema kannatused välditavad. Kahjuks, ühestki rahasummast ei piisa, kui me oleme silmitsi nii suure hoolimatusega.
