adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Peach has found her home! Her story: Gentle companion ready for a new start! With her fox brown fur and amber eyes, Peach is a visual beauty, but her true brilliance lies in her character. This female dog, about 40 cm tall and weighing 10 kg, has already carried a lot of responsibility in her previous life. After her owners passed away, she took care of her puppies all alone in a backyard in Fantanele until our animal welfare workers:innen became aware of her and finally brought her into the safety of the shelter. Despite this tough time, Peach has preserved a remarkably friendly and balanced nature. A great advantage: With her about two years of age, she has already passed her stormy puberty. She brings a certain maturity with her and is out of the rough, making her the ideal candidate for people who no longer want to raise a puppy. Peach gets along well with other dogs, cats have not been tested. If you decide to adopt Peach, you should not forget that Peach's world was previously very small. In a new home, she will need time to adjust. It is completely normal if she initially shows a more reserved behavior or displays a different behavior in the first period than she does now. With a little patience and empathy, she will surely learn quickly how wonderful life as a beloved family member can be. Peach is ready to leave her past behind. She is looking for people who can give her the security she has longed for and who want to start a consistent, new life together with her. Peach travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to her new home. She also has her EU pet passport in her luggage. As of: 14.01.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 14.01.2026

About Peach

What life with Peach looks like

Peach is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Peach, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Peach?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Peach on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Peach if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Peach already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Peach isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Peach and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
