Pepita

Female

Pepita was spotted wandering with Ramiro near Palm-Mar for several days until someone contacted Live Paws for assistance. We were able to safely catch them and bring them into our care.Pepita is a little more timid than Ramiro, but she has already started showing her gentle and sweet nature. Although she can be a little shy at first, she enjoys human attention and is beginning to trust and seek affection more each day. With patience, love, and time to settle into a home environment, we are confident she will continue to grow in confidence and truly shine. As a Pointer breed, Pepita is loyal, intelligent, and enjoys being active and spending time outdoors. She would suit a family who can give her regular walks, companionship, and the security she deserves.Pepita and Ramiro share a lovely bond and can be adopted together, but they are also happy to be homed separately if the right families come along.Could you be the one to give Pepita the safe and loving home she’s been waiting for?

About Pepita

What life with Pepita looks like

Pepita is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Live PAWS Tenerife in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pepita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pepita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Live PAWS Tenerife handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pepita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pepita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Live PAWS Tenerife will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pepita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pepita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Live PAWS Tenerife early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pepita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
