Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Animal Now! Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request This Dog Now! The lively Peppa was found by the side of the road near a hill and was incredibly lucky to be spotted in time and taken in by us. Since she’s been safely in our care, she’s shown just how much joy she has for life and how much she enjoys being close to people. But unfortunately, she still lacks her very own family. She’s a very friendly, cuddly, and super energetic dog who loves spending time with her humans. You can tell she’s young and full of energy, curious about the world, and eager to experience lots of new things together with her future family. So far, Peppa hasn’t been tested with other dogs or cats. However, thanks to her open and cheerful nature, she has all the right qualities to adapt well to a suitable environment with clear guidance. Peppa is currently being treated for a skin infection called pyoderma. Fortunately, she’s already showing initial improvements, and it’s clear that the treatment is working. The infection had prevented her fur from growing back properly, but it’s not contagious. We’d like Peppa to find an active home where she can stay physically and mentally stimulated while also receiving love and security. People who enjoy having a lively, cheerful dog and are willing to guide her consistently yet lovingly will find a wonderful companion in Peppa. Would you like to give Peppa a loving home and walk through life together with her? A heartfelt thank you to Susanne! Thanks to your support, Peppa has not only gained an identity but also the chance at a whole new life! As of: July 23, 2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Peppa

What life with Peppa looks like

Peppa is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Peppa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Peppa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Peppa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Peppa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Peppa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Peppa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Peppa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
