Peppa

Poodle · Female · Young · 2 years

I would like a home filled with love and kindness! I need a resident dog to help me settle in and I have never met cats. I would like a secure garden to spend time in. I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction. I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training. I will be spayed before finding my forever home. 03-10-26 Peppa has come to us from a breeder to find the loving forever home she deserves. She is a beautiful girl with the most mesmerising eyes and is a lovely, gentle little soul. We are told that Peppa is a Mini Doodle. Peppa is understandably feeling a little overwhelmed to find herself here with us at the moment, but she is settling in well and is easy to handle. She can be a little shy, but underneath her initial worries she is a happy and inquisitive girl who is beginning to take an interest in the world around her. With love, kindness and reassurance, we think she will soon start to come out of her shell once she is settled in her new home. Peppa will be looking for a loving home with adopters who have plenty of time to spend with her and who can give her the patience and encouragement she needs as she adjusts to her new life. Adopters with experience with ex-breeding dogs would be beneficial. We would consider homing her with gentle, dog-savvy children aged 9+. Peppa relies on other dogs for comfort and reassurance, so she will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend. Having a canine friend by her side will help her to feel safe and give her the confidence to settle in and start to show more of her lovely personality. Peppa has never lived in a home before, so her new family will need to be patient and understanding as she learns all about home life. She will need to learn house training and will also need to be introduced to walking on a lead and harness. These are all new experiences for her, but with the right support, we are sure she will gradually gain confidence. Peppa is such a sweet and beautiful girl, and we hope that once she has the security of a loving home and a kind canine friend by her side, she will blossom into the happy, inquisitive girl we know she can be. Peppa has a travel document. Peppa has been given the Gift of Life by Louise Southward Through the generosity of a Gift of Life sponsor, this dog was able to leave behind an uncertain future in Ireland and find safety and care at Many Tears. Every sponsorship helps us rescue and save more dogs in desperate need. If you would like to become part of a rescue story, please consider donating to our Gift of Life fund. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Peppa

What life with Peppa looks like

Peppa is a young adult poodle dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Peppa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Peppa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Peppa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Peppa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Peppa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Peppa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Peppa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
