She has lived in our shelter since July 2021, after we rescued her from the public shelter. Pepper is still a bit shy and reserved, but we hope she will soon overcome her shyness and trust our foster parents. We do not know what happened to her in her previous life, but we wish Pepper the comfort of her own home soon. Our visit in February 2024: This time, Pepper ventured out of her hut. Although she barked at us at first, she even took treats directly from our hands when we remained calm. She even let us touch her muzzle. Overall, Pepper is still very unsure and shy. Our visit in August 2022: During our visit in August 2022, Pepper only stayed in her hut. She did not want any contact with us and froze when we came closer. Sie lebt seit Juli 2021 in unserem Shelter, nachdem wir sie aus dem Public Shelter zu uns geholt haben. Pepper ist noch etwas schüchtern und zurückhaltend, doch wir hoffen, dass sie bald über ihren Schatten springen wird und unseren Pflegern vertrauen kann. Wir wissen nicht, was ihr in ihrem bisherigen Leben passiert ist, doch wir wünschen uns für Pepper, dass sie bald in den Genuss kommen wird, die Geborgenheit eines eigenen Zuhauses zu spüren. Unser Besuch im Februar 2024: Dieses Mal traute sich Pepper aus ihrer Hütte. Zwar bellte sie uns zunächst an, als dann aber Ruhe einkehrte und wir uns ruhig verhielten, traute sich Pepper sogar, Leckerlis direkt aus der Hand zu nehmen. Dabei ließ sie sich sogar etwas am Maul anfassen. Insgesamt ist Pepper aber nach wie vor unsicher und schüchtern. Unser Besuch im August 2022: Unsere Pepper blieb bei unserem Besuch nur in der Hütte. Sie wollte keinen Kontakt zu uns und fror regelrecht ein, als wir näher kamen. Sie ist sehr schüchtern und nahm auch kein Leckerli, nicht mal als wir es ihr zu warfen. Wichtige Information: Wenn sich Pepper auf die Reise in ein neues Leben machen darf, wird sie sich in der ersten Zeit sicherlich erstmal langsam in ihrem neuen Zuhause einleben müssen. Ihre Menschen sollten ihr deshalb ausreichend Zeit lassen, sich an all das viele Neue zu gewöhnen. Geduld und Verständnis wird Pepper brauchen, damit sie langsam Vertrauen zu ihren Liebsten aufbauen kann. Da sie eine zurückhaltende Hündin ist, sollten ihre Menschen bereits Erfahrung im Umgang mit ängstlichen und unsicheren Hunden haben. Auch wenn Pepper mitunter mehr Zeit braucht, um sich an ihr neues Leben zu gewöhnen, wird sie es trotzdem zu schätzen wissen, dass sie in Sicherheit ist und die Geborgenheit ihrer Familie spüren darf. Hat sie sich aber erstmal geöffnet, wird sie die vielen Streicheleinheiten genießen und auf ihren täglichen Spaziergängen immer mehr von ihrer Umgebung entdecken.
