Peps

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 3 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this dog now! Peps has found a home! His story: The little Peps didn't have an easy start in life, like one would wish for a puppy. But now there is hope for a beautiful, warm home. Together with his sister Molly, Peps was found on a hill in Romania when they were just 5 to 6 weeks old. Their dog mom was also with them, but very weakened and emaciated due to the birth and lack of nourishment. Now Peps is between 2 and 3 months old and he captivates with his gaze. Who doesn't melt at the attentive, loving expression in his black button eyes? His dark, glossy fur with the light brown and white accents is beautiful to look at. That Peps still has some growing to do is revealed by his relatively large, wobbly paws – later he will be a medium-sized male dog. Peps gets along well with other dogs, but how he reacts to cats has not yet been tested. Towards people, he is open, friendly, and very sweet. For now, everything is new to the curious little one. How wonderful would it be if someone would accompany him lovingly on his small adventures and show him what there is to see! If someone decides to adopt Peps, they should be able to offer him safety and security, as well as time and peace. Not only to be able to arrive relaxed, but also because young dogs need a lot of sleep to process everything they've experienced. With patience and clear rules, Peps will surely quickly learn the basics. For now, the little one still doesn't know how to stay house-trained, behave in the house, or travel in the car, and so much more. After sufficient settling-in time, a visit to a positively working dog training class is recommended to master everyday life and prevent the mood swings of puberty, which are expected to start in a few months for Peps. Peps is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and has an EU pet passport. After a positive foster home, we would also be very happy for him. And? Did Peps convince you? Many thanks Angie! You gave Peps his cheeky name! Date: 07.02.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Angie! Du hast Peps seinen kecken Namen geschenkt! Stand: 07.02.2026

About Peps

What life with Peps looks like

Peps is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Peps, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Peps?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Peps on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Peps if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Peps already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Peps isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Peps and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
