adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Pepsi has found her home! Her story: The young Pepsi is about five months old and has unfortunately gone through a lot in her short life. When she came to us, she was severely injured—her head and body were covered in numerous wounds, some already highly infected. It is likely she was attacked by larger dogs or mistreated. Fortunately, Pepsi could be medically treated, and her injuries have now healed well. Today, she is much better. Currently, Pepsi has arrived in Germany and is living in a foster home. There, she experienced for the first time what it feels like to be cared for, safe, and secure. Unfortunately, she cannot stay there permanently, as the older dogs in the foster home are overwhelmed by her youthful temperament. Therefore, Pepsi is now urgently seeking her own home. Pepsi is a confident young female dog with plenty of energy and enthusiasm for life. She is playful, curious, and friendly and open to people. At the same time, she brings a bit of temperament with her and needs people who enjoy working with a young dog and can lovingly but consistently train her. Of course, Pepsi still has a lot to learn at her age. Dog 1×1, leash training, and the rules of cohabitation are still on her schedule. With patience, clear guidance, and positive reinforcement, she will surely develop into a wonderful companion. She needs both mental and physical stimulation so that she can channel her energy in the right direction. Attending a positively working dog training class would be a great support for her. Visually, Pepsi is a real looker: she has a fluffy, slightly wavy coat and particularly perky ears, which give her an unmistakable expression. We assume she will grow to be small to medium-sized. For Pepsi, we wish active and loving people who are eager to grow together with her and show her the world. In a suitable home with clear structures, mental stimulation, and lots of affection, the little fighter will surely become a wonderful companion. After a positive Pepsi has been named by Lotti P.! Thank you for giving her name and a monthly sponsorship! Date: 16.03. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 16.03.2026

About Pepsi

What life with Pepsi looks like

Pepsi is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pepsi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pepsi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pepsi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pepsi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pepsi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pepsi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pepsi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
