adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Perle can stay with you forever! Her story: Perle on four paws wants to brighten up your life. Perle is about six months old and had the good fortune to be born in a foster home in Romania, where her mother was rescued from the street just a short while before. Now the little one patiently waits with her two siblings, Toni and Nele, and Mama Gertrud, for her forever family. Perle shines with her black fur and sweetly hanging ears. The little lady's gaze melts hearts. Perle is likely to be larger than her siblings, given her longer legs and larger paws compared to the other two, we assume a medium size. Perle is super open and has a friendly nature, making her a great family member. As Perle is still a puppy, we wish for a loving family that will patiently teach her the puppy ABCs. A positively working dog training class offers a good opportunity for the little lady to learn and play with her fellow animals. After the puppy stage, as we know, comes puberty – this can often be challenging. The hormone chaos turns the little one's life upside down. She will forget a lot of what she has learned with great effort and the sweet ears will be on full blast. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to consistently – but lovingly – train. Good news: This phase also passes! We are sure that Perle is worth the effort and a true gain for every family – maybe also for your own? Perle travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport to her new home. We would be very happy to have a foster home for Perle. Can Perle brighten up your life? Many thanks to Julia! You named Perle. Date: 10.06.

Vielen Dank an Julia! Du hast Perle ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 10.06.2024

About Perle

What life with Perle looks like

Perle is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Perle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Perle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Perle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Perle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Perle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Perle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Perle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
