Our herding-mix dog, Peterchen, came to us because his owner passed away. He was born on October 1, 2017. Currently, he weighs 29.5 kg and stands 68 cm tall at the shoulder. Peterchen is a people-oriented and playful male mixed-breed dog who forms a close bond with his trusted humans. He gets along well with other dogs, depending on mutual compatibility. It’s currently unknown whether he can live peacefully with cats or small animals. Due to his hip dysplasia, we would like Peterchen to have a ground-floor home where he has to climb as few stairs as possible. A house with a garden would be ideal, but it’s not a strict requirement. Since he feels more comfortable in a quiet environment, we’d prefer for him to live in a rural setting rather than right in the heart of the city. Peterchen is an insecure dog and initially reacts with anxiety to new situations, loud noises, and anything unfamiliar. Therefore, he needs patient, empathetic people who give him time to build trust and feel safe. Experience handling insecure dogs would be an advantage for his future owners, enabling them to guide him confidently and understandingly through everyday life. Unser Sennenmischlingshund Peterchen kam zu uns, weil sein Besitzer verstorben ist. Er wurde am 01.10.2017 geboren. Aktuell wiegt er 29,5 kg bei einer Schulterhöhe von 68 cm. Peterchen ist ein menschenbezogener und verspielter Mischlingsrüde, der zu seinen Bezugspersonen eine enge Bindung aufbaut. Mit Artgenossen ist er je nach Sympathie verträglich. Ob er mit Katzen oder Kleintieren zusammenleben kann, ist bislang nicht bekannt. Aufgrund seiner Hüftdysplasie wünschen wir uns für Peterchen ein ebenerdiges Zuhause, in dem er möglichst wenige Treppen steigen muss. Ein Haus mit Garten wäre schön, ist aber keine Voraussetzung. Da er sich in einer ruhigen Umgebung wohler fühlt, wünschen wir uns für ihn ein Zuhause in ländlicher Lage und nicht mitten in der Stadt. Peterchen ist ein unsicherer Hund und reagiert auf neue Situationen, laute Geräusche und alles Unbekannte zunächst ängstlich. Er braucht daher geduldige, einfühlsame Menschen, die ihm Zeit geben, Vertrauen zu fassen und Sicherheit zu gewinnen. Erfahrung im Umgang mit unsicheren Hunden wäre für seine zukünftigen Halter von Vorteil, damit sie ihn souverän und verständnisvoll durch den Alltag begleiten können.
