Adopt Petit Prince Alias Papigneul

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 9 years

PAPIGNEUL is a senior dog still full of life, who is seeking a warm home to spend his golden years in peace. After the loss of his mistress, he hopes to find a family that can offer him stability, attention, and tenderness. He gets along with some of his fellow dogs and horses, but not with cats or chickens. A house with a garden would be ideal for him, allowing him to enjoy the outdoors at his own pace. While not a big athlete, Papigneul remains playful and enjoys walks, especially if they are adapted to his age. He also loves quiet and restful moments. Very endearing, he is often described as a little sweetheart, close to humans and in need of company without being intrusive. A big gourmet, he has a very pronounced fondness for food: he believes that anyone who approaches him must come with something to eat, and he wouldn't hesitate to help himself to the dishes if the opportunity arises. Papigneul would thrive in a home ready to offer him a peaceful end to his life, surrounded by affection and kindness. Share this page on Facebook or X-Twitter Adopt a dog:

About Petit Prince Alias Papigneul

What life with Petit Prince Alias Papigneul looks like

Petit Prince Alias Papigneul is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Fondation Brigitte Bardot in Paris.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Petit Prince Alias Papigneul, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Petit Prince Alias Papigneul?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fondation Brigitte Bardot handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Petit Prince Alias Papigneul on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Petit Prince Alias Papigneul if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fondation Brigitte Bardot will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Petit Prince Alias Papigneul already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Petit Prince Alias Papigneul isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fondation Brigitte Bardot early rather than rehoming privately; they know Petit Prince Alias Papigneul and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
