Pflegehund Peanut

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 7 months

Peanut, a female puppy, has been in Germany since October 2026. She is currently in foster care in 73433 Aalen. Estimated age: born around March 2026. Estimated final shoulder height: around 40-59 cm. Estimated final weight: around 20-35 kg. Meet Peanut in a further video! Happy puppy girl seeks hope. Meet Peanut in 73433 Aalen! This furry face was rescued with her brother Butter from a Romanian farm where they unfortunately were not allowed to stay. More information about how the dogs come to the shelter and answers to general questions can be found in our animal welfare FAQ. Peanut was lucky and was able to travel from the Romanian shelter to a German foster home. This has many advantages: here you can get to know the new life in a household and better assess the character. In addition, foster dogs can be visited and thus get to know them before deciding on an adoption. Peanut is now allowed to arrive at the foster home. As soon as we can say more about the character, we will add this here. If you have already fallen in love with her anyway, please send us a self-disclosure via the button below. In the shelter, Peanut showed herself to be an open and lively puppy girl who enthusiastically greeted people. As soon as visitors came, she was right on the spot, wagged her tail and sought contact from herself. She liked to climb onto the lap, distribute kisses and enjoy caresses. Even on the arm, she showed herself calm and relaxed. According to her age, Peanut showed herself to be curious and playful. She particularly enjoyed the company of her cage mates and liked to engage in joint games and small fights. At the same time, it showed that Peanut also had a pleasant quiet side: after the initial joy over the visit, she increasingly found peace and showed herself particularly relaxed and accessible in a relaxed atmosphere. Peanut reacted attentively to the address, liked to come to her people and was hardly impressed by the everyday noises around her cage. We wish Peanut a loving home where she can grow up protected. People who enjoy accompanying her through her puppy time with patience, closeness and loving guidance would suit her well. We wish for this furry face people with patience, empathy and perseverance - and with the understanding that animal shelters often already bring a certain history. How exactly she reacts to the new life in Germany can never be predicted completely. But one thing is certain: whoever adopts instead of buying not only gives an animal a second chance, but decides actively against animal suffering - and for a life with a very special companion by your side. Already in love? Send us a self-disclosure! Adoption If you are thinking about an adoption, first read through the placement process. All dogs are vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, flea-free and neutered (except for puppies up to 6 months and very old dogs) before departure. In addition, dogs older than 1 year are tested for Mediterranean diseases. If you have further questions, please write a message to our placement team.

Lerne Peanut in 73433 Aalen kennen!

About Pflegehund Peanut

What life with Pflegehund Peanut looks like

Pflegehund Peanut is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Hunderettung Europa e.V. in Duisburg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pflegehund Peanut, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pflegehund Peanut?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hunderettung Europa e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pflegehund Peanut on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pflegehund Peanut if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hunderettung Europa e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pflegehund Peanut already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pflegehund Peanut isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hunderettung Europa e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pflegehund Peanut and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
