Pflegehund Raye

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

Raye, a female puppy, has been in Germany since August 2026. She is currently in foster care in 58644 Iserlohn. Estimated age: born around March 2026. Estimated final shoulder height: around 40-59 cm. Watch Raye's video to meet her! She was given up again - puppy girl Raye is looking for a real forever home in 58644 Iserlohn. Raye and her siblings Peanut and Butter were born on a poor Romanian farm. The owners gave Raye and some of her siblings to the neighborhood, while Peanut and Butter came directly to our shelter. However, our team was asked to take Raye in as well, as her new family didn't want to keep her. You can find more information about how the dogs come to the shelter and answers to general questions in our animal welfare FAQ. Raye was lucky and was able to travel from the Romanian shelter to a German foster home. This has many advantages: here you can get to know the new life in a household and better assess the character. In addition, foster dogs can be visited and thus get to know them before deciding on an adoption. Raye is now allowed to arrive at the foster home. As soon as we can say more about her character, we will add this here. If you have fallen in love with her anyway, please send us a self-disclosure via the button below. If you would like more information about this fur ball, please write to our placement team. We are looking for a loving home for Raye - a place where she can discover the world, build trust and just be a dog. Anyone who adopts a puppy should be aware of how demanding everyday life with a young dog can be: hardly is the house clean, the "wild puberty" is often already there - full of energy, uncertainties and new challenges. The first years of life are an exciting journey that humans and dogs go through together - with ups and downs and a lot of learning moments. We wish for this fur ball people with patience, empathy and perseverance - and with the understanding that animal shelters often already bring a certain history. How exactly they react to the new life in Germany can never be fully predicted. But one thing is certain: whoever adopts instead of buying not only gives an animal a second chance, but actively decides against animal suffering - and for a life with a very special companion by their side. Already in love? Send us a self-disclosure! Adoption If you are thinking about an adoption, first read through the placement process. All dogs are vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, flea-treated and neutered before departure (except for puppies up to 6 months and very old dogs). Dogs older than 1 year are also tested for Mediterranean diseases. If you have any further questions, please write to our placement team.

In Deutschland seit: August 2026 Auf Pflegestelle in: 58644 Iserlohn Geschätztes Alter: geb. ca. März 2026 Geschätzte Endschulterhöhe: ca. 40 – 59 cm Lerne hier Raye direkt im Video kennen!

About Pflegehund Raye

What life with Pflegehund Raye looks like

Pflegehund Raye is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Hunderettung Europa e.V. in Duisburg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pflegehund Raye, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pflegehund Raye?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hunderettung Europa e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pflegehund Raye on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pflegehund Raye if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hunderettung Europa e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pflegehund Raye already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pflegehund Raye isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hunderettung Europa e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pflegehund Raye and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
