Adopt Pido

Mixed Breed Cat · Female

Description Pido is a beautiful and cuddly tricolor lucky cat. Unfortunately, fate has played a bitter trick on her, as she has not been so lucky so far. Due to a serious infection in her left eye, that eye had to be removed. However, Pido does not mind this at all! As a one-eyed hobby pirate kitten, she explores the world with one eye and longs for love and attention. She is compatible with other cats and is truly a treasure. Who would like to give this cute fluff ball a warm forever home? She definitely deserves it! Update31.01.2026 New Videos The animal presented here comes from a foster home that houses many animals. For these animals, we are searching for a home for a loving and safe life in the new home. The descriptions are so brief because there simply isn't time to provide detailed descriptions during the daily work of caring for all the animals. If interested, a detailed description can be requested, please send your questions directly via email to the provided address. We will try to answer these as soon as possible. Home Sought For Pido we are searching for a loving, understanding home. Our cats come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and with an EU Pass, when health and age allow. Additionally, they are tested for FELV/FIV. We look forward to your contact.

About Pido

What life with Pido looks like

Pido is a adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pido, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pido?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pido on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pido if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pido already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pido isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pido and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
