Pie (and Pudding)

Female · Kitten · 11 months

This beautiful pair are Pudding and Pie! Both girls can be a bit wary when you first meet them but it doesn't take long for them to warm up and make friends. Pie is the more bold of the two but her sister isn't far behind! Both girls love lots of head and chin rubs and will nudge you if you dare stop. Pudding and Pie are a bonded pair of cats who are looking for a home together. They should be fine to settle into a quiet corner with all their resources and plenty of cosy hiding places. Due to them being easily spooked they would be best suited living with an older school aged child who will understand that they will need time and space to settle. Both girls are young and full of energy and will cat flap access outside once settled so they can explore and burn off their excess energy. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Pudding and Pie, you can e-mail our rehoming team on () to register your interest. the cat you have contacted us about.

About Pie (and Pudding)

What life with Pie (and Pudding) looks like

Pie (and Pudding) is a medium-sized puppy/kitten cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pie (and Pudding), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pie (and Pudding)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pie (and Pudding) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pie (and Pudding) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pie (and Pudding) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pie (and Pudding) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pie (and Pudding) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
