Rescued from the street, a playful kitten. Likes: being petted; eating delicious food; playing with a ball and anything that rustles; a little wiggling during activities. Never missed the litter box yet! Story of Pifa: On 25.08.2024 I found a box with three lively and playful kittens near the entrance. Approaching closer, I noticed that one of them had some eye problems. It kept me awake all night, as I felt so sorry for him, he is an easy target for street dogs. Also, an infection could kill him... So by morning, a decision was made, and Pifa went with me to a local clinic, where there is a facility for animals. They said his eyes don't see. Due to an untreated infection in one eye, which looks the biggest in the photo, there was a buildup of fluid, causing the optic nerve to usually atrophy. This condition is called glaucoma. It's not contagious, just swelling. The other eye just deteriorated. This news shocked me, as I wasn't prepared for caring for a fully blind cat. "How will he go to the litter box?"... "How will he run around the house?"... "How will he be cared for in general?"... "How will he find water?"... Blindness scared me in these questions. But on the day he arrived at my home, I started to clearly see the answers. Conversations with people who have blind cats in their care, and articles on the internet conveyed a general opinion that proved to be completely true. He is just like any other cat with sight! He found and tested the litter box on the first day of living in the apartment. Sometimes he bumps into furniture legs, but he remembers the layout well. He can even climb on furniture and jump off. He chases toys and me by sound. He finds water, without needing to poke it with his nose. I am happy that fate brought me together with this wonderful boy. He is a soft, playful light that delights me. However, I was not entirely ready for another animal in the apartment. Especially since it may soon be necessary to shelter another adult cat. Therefore, I'm looking for loving owners who: love cats; can't imagine hitting an animal as part of training; choose quality food for animals; responsibly approach the health of animals and are willing to take them to a veterinarian when necessary; don't have aggressive animals in the home. Врятований з вулиці, спліпенький. Полюбляє: пестощі; смачно поїсти; грати з м'ячиком і усім, що шуршить, трішки попукати при активностях. Ще жодного разу не промазав повз лотка! Історія Піфи: 25.08.2024 я знайшла біля під'їзду коробку з трьома жвавими та грайливими кошенятами. Підійшовши ближче я помітила, що в одного якась біда з оченятами. Цілу ніч мене воно муляло, адже шкода дуже, він є легкою мішенню для вуличних собак. Та й інфекція може вбити... Тож на ранок рішення було прийняте, і Піфа в коробочці зі мною попрямував до місцевої клініки, де є стаціонар для тварин. Там сказали, що оченята в нього не бачать. Через непроліковану інфекцію в одному оці, що виглядає найбільшим на фото, відбулося скупченя рідини, через що зазвичай атрофується зоровий нерв. Називається цей стан глаукомою. Воно не заразне, це просто набряк. А друге оченятко просто зачахло. Ця новина мене приголомшила, адже я була не готова до догляду за повністю сліпим котом. Адже: "А як він буде ходити до лотка?"... "А як він буде бігати по хаті?". ... "А як взагалі за ним доглядами?"... "А як він знайде воду?"... Сліпота в цих питаннях мене лякала. Але за день, коли він опинився в мене в дома, відповіді на них я почала ясно бачити. Розмови з людьми, що мають сліпих котів на догляді, та статті в інтернеті транслювали загальну думку, яка виявилась цілком правдою. Він такий самий як і коти з зором! Лоток він розвідав та випробував в перший день життя в квартирі. Інколи він трішки натикається в ніжки меблів, але добре пам'ятає місцевість. Може навіть вдиратися на меблі та спригувати з них. На звук ганяється за іграшками і за мною. Водичку знаходить, навіть мордочкою не треба тицяти було. Я тішуся, що доля звела мене та цього чудового хлопчика. Він - м'якенький грайливий вогник, що мене тішить. Проте до появи ще однієї тваринки в квартирі я була не зовсім готова. Тим паче що скоро можливо доведеться прихистити ще одного дорослого кота. Тож шукаю йому люблячих господарів, які: обожнюють котів; не уявляють, що можуть вдарити тварину в якості виховання; підбирають якісне харчування тваринам; відповідально ставляться до стану здоров'я тварин та за необхідністю готові відвести до ветеринара; не мають в домі агресивних тварин. Пишіть у вайбер або телеграм за вказаним номером, якщо бажаєте прихистити красунчика або поставити питання. На жаль, через роботу можу не взяти слухавку.
