De mama van Kroket, Pikanto en Loempia was een klein Podencootje, die hoogzwanger werd aangetroffen in the middle of nowhere. Ergens in een verlaten streek, helemaal alleen en zonder veilige plek om haar kleintjes ter wereld te brengen. Een echtpaar met een groot hart voor dieren ontfermde zich over haar en nam haar mee naar huis. Niet veel later beviel ze daar in alle veiligheid van zes pupjes. De mensen verzorgden het gezinnetje met ontzettend veel liefde. Maar zes opgroeiende kapoenen brengen natuurlijk leven in huis. Ze spelen, ravotten en maken weleens lawaai. De buren waren daar helaas niet blij mee en daarom moest er een andere oplossing worden gezocht. Zo kwamen Kroket, Picanto en Loempia bij ons terecht. Ze groeiden op in een huiselijke omgeving en kunnen later beslist lieve en fijne huishonden worden. Toch moeten ze nog veel leren. Tot nu toe kenden ze vooral hun opvangfamilie en het dagelijkse leven in dat ene huis. Nu gaat er plots een hele nieuwe wereld voor hen open, met onbekende mensen, geluiden en situaties. Voorlopig vinden ze dat allemaal nog spannend. Ze zijn onzeker, maar toch zijn ze ook sociaal en nieuwsgierig. Ze willen wel contact maken, alleen moeten ze nog ontdekken dat ze ook andere mensen kunnen vertrouwen. Dankzij de dagelijkse aandacht die ze hier nu krijgen, gaat het stapje voor stapje beter. Pikanto is de grootste deugniet van het stel. Ze heeft pit, weet goed wat ze wil en is duidelijk de meest assertieve. Kroket en Loempia zijn wat voorzichtiger en bekijken alles liever eerst van een veilige afstand. Drie lieve pupjes, elk met hun eigen karakter en allemaal met nog een hele toekomst voor zich. We hopen dat ze ieder een geduldig baasje vinden dat hen rustig laat openbloeien, samen met hen de wereld wil ontdekken en hen alle tijd geeft om uit te groeien tot de geweldige honden die al in hen verscholen zitten!
