Pilvik

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Pilvik is an approximately 4-year-old female cat who ended up at the shelter at the end of May, after a vigilant caller alerted us that a stray cat had been wandering around her yard for a week and was no longer leaving. In July of this year, Pilvik found a home, but unfortunately, the family had to give her up, and so she returned to the shelter once again. By nature, Pilvik is a very social, curious, and friendly little cat. She is microchipped, spayed, and has received all necessary vaccinations and parasite treatments. Pilvik would be a great match for someone looking for a friendly and companionable feline friend. Pilvik is used to going outdoors, so a country home would be the ideal living environment for her. Living in a country home would allow her to safely explore outside during the day and spend evenings indoors with her family. If you feel that Pilvik could be the perfect addition to your family, please don't hesitate to fill out the "Offer a Home" form. The upkeep of animals currently in shelters is possible only with the support of generous donors. If you'd also like to lend a helping hand, enter an amount that suits you in the "Donate to the Animal" box and click the Donate button. A big thank you for caring about the animals in our shelter!

ET·Show original

Pilvik on harjunud õues käima, mistõttu sobiks talle kõige paremini elukohaks just maakodu.

About Pilvik

What life with Pilvik looks like

Pilvik is a medium-sized adult mixed breed cat waiting at Varjupaikade MTÜ in Tallinn.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pilvik, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pilvik?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Varjupaikade MTÜ handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pilvik on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pilvik if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Varjupaikade MTÜ will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pilvik already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pilvik isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Varjupaikade MTÜ early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pilvik and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
