Pina Colada

Female · Young · 3 years

Mama Pina Colada & her Cocktail Gang On July 11, 2026, Mama Pina Colada and her four kittens Mojito, Batida de Coco, Bloody Mark, and Cuba Libre moved into our shelter. Pina Colada had been seen and fed by residents for some time before construction workers contacted us. The cat mother had settled with her four little protectors on a construction site. This was clearly not a suitable place to raise four curious kittens, so the entire small family was secured and taken in as found animals. Since then, Pina Colada has lovingly cared for her Cocktail Gang. She has done everything outside to get her little ones through safely and was finally able to focus on being a mother while Mojito, Batida de Coco, Bloody Mark, and Cuba Libre could discover the world safely. The four dwarves grow up together, play, wrestle, cuddle, and learn something new every day. Mama Pina Colada keeps a close eye on everything. Now we wish for Pina Colada and her little ones to have a beautiful future with people. All five have been tested positive for FeLV. Mama Pina had symptoms such as fever, lethargy, weight loss, but is now on the road to recovery. General inquiries:

Allgemeine Interessentenanfrage:

About Pina Colada

What life with Pina Colada looks like

Pina Colada is a small young adult cat waiting at Tierheim Ettlingen in Ettlingen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pina Colada, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pina Colada?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Ettlingen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pina Colada on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pina Colada if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Ettlingen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pina Colada already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pina Colada isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Ettlingen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pina Colada and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
