adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this dog! Ping has found a home! His story: Little Bear Cub Ping is already in his foster home in Germany waiting for his family. Stray cubs are born and are not wanted from the start. But the 4 bear brothers Ping and Pong, Tatze, and Shadow don't let that dampen their love for life. The sweet black 5-month-old fluff balls now enjoy the safety in foster homes and can rest. We assume that the pretty siblings will be about medium-sized when they grow up (Ping is 47 cm at the shoulder at 5 months), if they become adults. The little Ping is a magical black fluff ball with a playful and loving personality. He gets along well with cats and other dogs, is very playful but also seeks his cuddle spots, and is initially very suspicious of strangers, but warms up slowly. Frivolously and curiously, Ping plays through the day with the two female dogs in the foster home. He already knows sit, and walking on a leash works well, and he sometimes barks when he needs to go out. At the beginning, it's important to have empathy and be calm. Rules are necessary, but learning becomes much easier when trust is the foundation. When Ping recognizes that you mean well with him, it also becomes easier for him to accept your family rules. House training, walking on a leash, sleeping through the night, recall, car rides, and many more tasks that a puppy can quickly become overwhelmed with are waiting. And puberty is still on the horizon. This time can turn sweet puppies into little rebels. With patience and loving guidance, you can build a trust foundation that will bond you with a dog for a lifetime. A puppy is a special family member – one that sneaks into your hearts, and another that leaps in with joy and vitality. Are you ready for Ping? Then contact us through the website and get in touch. Ping is vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed and will be transferred after a positive match. Thank you, Andrea G.! You gave Ping his cute name. Status: 12.01.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Andrea G.! Du hast Ping seinen niedlichen Namen geschenkt. Stand: 12.01.2026

About Ping

What life with Ping looks like

Ping is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ping, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ping?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ping on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ping if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ping already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ping isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ping and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
