Adopt Piouf – FA

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 8 years

Hello, I'm piouf. I'm a small mixed Malinois weighing 17kg and I'm full of energy. I love playing, moving, learning, and sharing moments with my human. But behind all this energy... there's also a small sensitive side. I'm still discovering the world. Some things can impress me, like noises, crowds, lively environments. So, I'll need some time to get used to them, and especially humans with the patience and love necessary to accompany me. With me, everything happens with trust and mutual connection. I need to be given time to observe, understand... to come to you at my own pace. When I decide to trust... everything changes. I become a real little shadow for my human & a devoted, curious dog always ready to share an activity or a moment together. Learning, playing, moving... it makes me happy. I get along well with other dogs and I already have many friends. I just need to learn some canine codes, as sometimes I can be a bit overbearing in play. Since being in foster care, I've already evolved a lot. I meet new dogs almost every day and I currently live with 3 other dogs from the family. With new humans, when they let me come at my own pace, everything goes well. I can also sometimes want to protect my things with other dogs, but with attentive and kind humans, I continue to progress every day. At first, I hardly let myself be handled... Today, with patience and gentleness, I let it happen without problems. Because trust is built together. The ideal family for me? A patient and attentive home. Humans ready to share activities with me! People who understand that a relationship is built step by step. I can live with children who respect me.

Hello,Je m’appelle piouf. Me laisser venir à vous à mon rythme. Apprendre, jouer, bouger… ça me rend heureuse.

About Piouf – FA

What life with Piouf – FA looks like

Piouf – FA is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at LPA Nord de la France in Lille.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Piouf – FA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Piouf – FA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. LPA Nord de la France handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Piouf – FA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Piouf – FA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — LPA Nord de la France will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Piouf – FA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Piouf – FA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with LPA Nord de la France early rather than rehoming privately; they know Piouf – FA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
