Adopt Pipilotta

Labrador Retriever · Female · Puppy · 5 months

Since us: 28.5.2026 Features: Compatible with fellow animals, cats, and children. Children should be steady. Lotta is initially very stormy. Personality: clingy, cuddly, friendly, stormy, active "Watch out, here I come!" That would likely be Lotta’s favorite phrase if she could speak. The young Labradormix female dog finds every person wonderful and wants to jump on everyone’s lap. At 19 kg, this is heavier, but she sees no problem with it. Lotta therefore definitely needs more training and must learn that she can also be petted with all four paws on the ground. Otherwise, Lotta is alert, curious, playful, full of life, and eager to explore the world. At home, however, she calms down very well and enjoys quiet cuddle sessions with her humans. As long as there is affection and closeness. Lotta has a lot of Lab qualities. She loves to carry things, enjoys water, and would at least mostly be willing to share food. Occasionally, there are indeed things she doesn’t devour like a typical Lab. She is likely not a purebred Labrador. She gets along well with fellow animals but also pushes them aside sometimes when she thinks they are getting more cuddles than she is. Cats are also no problem for the cute little girl. Lotta definitely needs a lot more training. She walks on a leash, but mostly at her own pace. Basic commands, house training, being left alone, are all things she still needs to learn. With children, she gets along super well. Children should be steady or be able to handle Lotta knocking them over. Overall, Lotta is a little rough diamond who will make a lifelong friend but needs to be polished first. Typical puppy. This animal is house-trained. This is a young, adolescent dog. Gets along with other dogs.

Eben typisch Junghund.

About Pipilotta

What life with Pipilotta looks like

Pipilotta is a small puppy/kitten labrador retriever dog waiting at Tierschutz Eutin und Umgebung e.V. in Eutin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pipilotta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pipilotta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz Eutin und Umgebung e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pipilotta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pipilotta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz Eutin und Umgebung e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pipilotta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pipilotta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz Eutin und Umgebung e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pipilotta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
