PIPO

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

PIPO was rescued along with his siblings as babies, barely surviving on the streets. When PIPO arrived at our shelter, he was a baby with a lot of fear, having survived the horror of living on the streets with his brothers and sisters after their mother was hit by a car in front of them. Time passed, and at the animal shelter, we couldn't help him overcome that fear. We were lucky enough to have a family take him in as a foster, and after some time hiding and isolating himself, this little one has undergone a great change. Currently, although still distrustful, he is a homey kitten who loves to share time and space with his foster family. He is dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), neutered, with a health card, and adoption contract.

About PIPO

What life with PIPO looks like

PIPO is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at ACUNR - Animales Con Un Nuevo Rumbo in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting PIPO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PIPO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ACUNR - Animales Con Un Nuevo Rumbo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PIPO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PIPO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ACUNR - Animales Con Un Nuevo Rumbo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PIPO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PIPO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ACUNR - Animales Con Un Nuevo Rumbo early rather than rehoming privately; they know PIPO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
