PISA

European Shorthair · Female · Adult · 5 years

PISA - A devoted mother cat, approximately 5 years old, born around 2021, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, chipped, EU pet passport, FIV and FeLV test before departure. - Still waiting in Romania! - Pisa, a rather small mother cat, had retreated to the attic of an abandoned house in Romania for the birth of her sons Mike and Silvester (see www.sos-strassentiere.de). The three were lucky to have been discovered and taken in by our animal rescuer. Mama Pisa cared for her sons with great love. She never left their side and defended them from curious dog and cat glances. Even when Mike and Silvester started eating on their own, Pisa still watched over them and tried to defend them. But they both wanted to play with the other kittens and dogs already. Pisa waits until her sons finish eating before she eats herself, then checks what's left for her. A model mother. Pisa also likes people and makes contact with big and small humans, but isn't the type of cat that constantly seeks attention and cuddles. She is too focused on her children for that. She gets along well with other cats and dogs, but probably doesn't need them to be happy. Therefore, we are looking for a loving home as a single cat for Pisa, who responds to her name, where she won't have to be alone for too long. Pisa is still in Romania. - Cost contribution: 150 euros - Info and contact: - (WhatsApp)

PISA - Kleine Supermama- Kätzin, ca.5 J., geb. ca. 2021, kastriert, geimpft, entwurmt, gechipt, EU-Heimtierpass, vor Ausreise Test auf FIV u. FeLV. - Unkostenbeitrag: 150 Euro - Info u. Kontakt: - (WhatsApp) -

About PISA

What life with PISA looks like

PISA is a large adult european shorthair cat waiting at Tier-Not-Hilfe in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting PISA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PISA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tier-Not-Hilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PISA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PISA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tier-Not-Hilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PISA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PISA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tier-Not-Hilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know PISA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
