Pixel

Male Β· Adult Β· 5 years

Meet Pixel, a beautiful 5-year-old male Siberian cat who is being rehomed as part of our home direct scheme. This means he remains in the care of his current owner whilst we search for a suitable new home and family for him. Pixel enjoys playing with his favourite toys and loves having human company. He is a lovely companion who appreciates spending time with people and would make a wonderful addition to a loving home.At five years old, Pixel is past the kitten stage but still enjoys playtime and interaction. He is looking for someone who can offer him love, care, attention and a safe, comfortable environment where he can settle in and feel at home.Due to his breed Pixel is looking for an indoor only home. Pixels current owner has advised that he does not travel well in the car, so we are ideally looking for someone local to the centre to adopt him to keep his stress to a minimum. If you’re looking for a feline friend to share your home with, Pixel could be the perfect match. About Pixel

What life with Pixel looks like

Pixel is an adult cat waiting at National Animal Welfare Trust in Watford.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pixel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pixel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. National Animal Welfare Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pixel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pixel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” National Animal Welfare Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pixel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pixel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with National Animal Welfare Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pixel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
