Pixie was born in May 2026 and is expected to grow into a small female dog with a final size of approximately 35-40 cm. She is currently growing up with her sister Noea at the private animal shelter of the Ador association in Botosani, Romania. We do not know what Pixie experienced before coming to the shelter. Perhaps she was found, perhaps she was given up - we did not ask further. Because in the end, one thing counts above all: Pixie was rescued and is now safe. And with that, she is unfortunately not alone. Around 90 puppies currently live in the shelter. Pixie is currently one of the little ones who are allowed to grow up in the protected puppy area. There she lives with other puppies, can play, romp around, and is lovingly cared for by the caregivers. The little ones are even allowed to go outside to the outdoor area for a few hours. It may sound self-evident to us, but for a puppy in a Romanian animal shelter, it is something special: feeling grass under their paws, seeing the sky, experiencing the sun, getting to know raindrops, and discovering the outside world a little bit. Many puppies in other animal shelters do not have this opportunity at all. Pixie benefits greatly from this and is a cheerful, playful, and people-oriented little mouse. At the same time, it is noticeable that the constant hustle and bustle sometimes gets to her. So many puppies, so much movement, so many noises - especially for one of the smallest, it can be exhausting. Pixie likes to play and is in the middle of it, but she also enjoys the quieter moments and withdraws when she needs a break. And that is exactly why we would so much like to see her not grow up in the shelter. Because at some point, Pixie will be too big for the puppy area. The next small emergencies will come and need space - and then Pixie will eventually have to move to the back of the shelter into a kennel. We would like to spare this little girl this. Pixie should not grow up behind bars. She should have a family that shows her how big the world outside a shelter actually is. People who love her, give her security and patiently teach her all the things a small dog still has to learn. Pixie is multiple vaccinated, dewormed, chipped and of course has an EU passport. Currently (as of August), she has not yet been spayed. Before departure, we will still carry out a Snap-D4 test. Contact: Pixie will be placed through the animal rescue organization Casa Katharina e.V. - with pre-control and protection contract. The association naturally complies with §11 (Animal Welfare Act). Even after the adoption, we will continue to support you - for humans and animals. Pixie will arrive in 91278 Pottenstein as soon as she is adopted, where she must also be picked up. The transport will of course take place via Traces. There is a secure area available. We ask for your understanding that we do not want to stop at parking lots and we would like to introduce you personally to your new friend.

Pixie ist im Mai 2026 geboren und wird voraussichtlich einmal eine eher kleine Hündin mit einer Endgröße von etwa 35–40 cm werden. Aktuell wächst sie gemeinsam mit ihrer Schwester Noea im privaten Tierheim des Vereins Ador in Botosani, Rumänien, auf. Was Pixie erlebt hat, bevor sie ins Tierheim kam, wissen wir nicht. Vielleicht wurde sie gefunden, vielleicht abgegeben – wir haben tatsächlich gar nicht weiter nachgefragt. Denn am Ende zählt vor allem eines: Pixie wurde gerettet und ist jetzt in Sicherheit. Und damit ist sie leider nicht allein. Rund 90 Welpen leben derzeit im Tierheim. Pixie gehört momentan noch zu den Kleinen, die im geschützten Welpenbereich aufwachsen dürfen. Dort lebt sie mit anderen Welpen zusammen, kann spielen, herumtollen und wird liebevoll von den Pflegern betreut. Stundenweise dürfen die Kleinen sogar hinaus auf das Außengelände. Für uns klingt es vielleicht selbstverständlich, aber für einen Welpen in einem rumänischen Tierheim ist es etwas Besonderes: Gras unter den Pfötchen spüren, den Himmel sehen, Sonne erleben, Regentropfen kennenlernen und draußen ein kleines bisschen die Welt entdecken. Viele Welpen in anderen Tierheimen haben diese Möglichkeit überhaupt nicht. Pixie profitiert sehr davon und ist eine fröhliche, verspielte und menschenbezogene kleine Maus. Gleichzeitig merkt man ihr aber auch an, dass ihr der ständige Trubel manchmal einfach zu viel wird. So viele Welpen, so viel Bewegung, so viele Geräusche – gerade für eine der Kleinsten kann das anstrengend sein. Pixie spielt gerne und ist mittendrin, genießt aber genauso die ruhigeren Momente und zieht sich auch einmal zurück, wenn sie eine Pause braucht. Und genau deshalb wünschen wir uns so sehr, dass sie nicht im Tierheim erwachsen werden muss. Denn irgendwann wird Pixie zu groß für den Welpenbereich sein. Die nächsten kleinen Notfälle werden kommen und Platz benötigen – und dann wird auch Pixie irgendwann in den hinteren Bereich des Tierheims in einen Zwinger umziehen müssen. Das würden wir diesem kleinen Mädchen so gerne ersparen. Pixie soll nicht hinter Gittern groß werden. Sie soll eine Familie haben, die ihr zeigt, wie groß die Welt außerhalb eines Tierheims eigentlich ist. Menschen, die sie lieben, ihr Sicherheit geben und ihr geduldig all die Dinge beibringen, die ein kleiner Hund erst noch lernen muss. Pixie ist mehrfach geimpft, entwurmt, gechipt und natürlich im Besitz eines EU-Ausweises. Aktuell (Stand August) ist sie noch nicht kastriert. Vor Ausreise führen wir noch einen Snap-D4-Test durch. Kontakt: Pixie wird über die Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. vermittelt – mit Vorkontrolle und Schutzvertrag. Der Verein verfügt selbstverständlich über den §11 (Tierschutzgesetz). Auch nach der Adoption stehen wir euch weiterhin unterstützend zur Seite – für Mensch und Tier. Pixie kommt, sobald sie adoptiert ist, in 91278 Pottenstein an, wo sie auch abgeholt werden muss. Der Transport erfolgt natürlich über Traces. Dort steht ein gesichertes Gelände zur Verfügung. Wir bitten um Verständnis dafür, dass wir keine Ausstiege an Parkplätzen möchten und wir Euch gerne mit Eurem neuen Freund persönlich zusammenführen möchten
