Pepper, Pizza, Pesto & Pak Choi - four shy kittens are looking for their luck 🐾 Name: Pepper, Pizza, Pesto & Pak Choi Breed: EKH Born: 12.05.2026 Sex: Pepper: Female | Pizza, Pesto & Pak Choi: Male Not spayed/neutered The four kittens are the children of our cat mom Paprika and are looking for their forever home starting August 5, 2026. They are still a bit shy and prefer to observe new situations from a safe distance. With some patience and loving attention, they will gradually gain trust and show their curious side. We are looking for understanding people who give them the time they need to arrive. They will only be placed together or with an existing same-age kitten so they can play, learn and grow together. Those who give the little furry friends a chance will experience over time how cautious kittens become confident and happy furry friends.

About Pizza

What life with Pizza looks like

Pizza is a kitten cat waiting at Tierheim Ahlen in Ahlen.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pizza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pizza?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Ahlen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pizza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pizza if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Ahlen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pizza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pizza isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Ahlen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pizza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
