Adopt Pluto-7

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Country of origin: Hungary The charming puppy children Pluto and Pilla were found together, outside of Kecskemét, and reported to the animal shelter on April 21, 2026. Not yet long in the world and already unwanted and abandoned cowardly, the start into life could definitely have been better. Although the animal shelter is not the right place, they are together, have become siblings and have the chance to live as a beloved family member. This lovely duo is waiting for their people who will accompany them on their further life journey and never leave them behind again. Pluto and Pilla do not need to be rehomed together. The siblings have fortunately survived their involuntary "adventure" and are typical puppies, playful, curious, sociable, sometimes shy in new situations, and ready for any mischief. They are becoming more lively and curious every day. There is a lot to discover, even though their life is currently taking place behind bars. They are still very green behind the ears and their new humans should enjoy teaching them lovingly everything a puppy needs to know for its later life as a full-fledged family dog. Also, the new owners should be aware that puppies bring along not only a lot of joy but also a lot of work and responsibility so that they can develop into wonderful companions. The siblings have no problems with their kind and love to play and run around with them. For the most precious puppy children Pluto and Pilla, we are looking for a loving and responsible home where they can enjoy plenty of fun and action, long and varied walks according to their age, enough rest periods, where they are appropriately occupied for their age and dogs, and receive many cuddles every day. Then a visit to a dog school and full family integration and the two can finally get going and enjoy their new life to the fullest. Two charming puppy children want to go on an expedition! Both are currently too young for castration, which the new owners must catch up on when they are old enough. The adult size of 30-40cm and adult weight of 7-13kg are just estimates. On May 11, 2026, Pluto was 23cm and 4.8kg. The siblings can travel from around mid/end of June 2026 if they have found a home or a foster care.

About Pluto-7

What life with Pluto-7 looks like

Pluto-7 is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pluto-7, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pluto-7?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pluto-7 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pluto-7 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pluto-7 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pluto-7 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pluto-7 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
