PLUTON

Male · Adult · 7 years

PLUTON is 7 years old. PLUTON is a happy dog, with whom you can build a great bond by giving him some affection and presence. He really enjoys every walk and values human contact. When he came to us, he was in a lot of pain due to an injured leg. At that time, he reacted aggressively to touch, especially during visits to the clinic. The memory of this remains in him, and in stressful situations PLUTON can be unpleasant, but it's enough for him to realize that the situation does not cause pain and he calms down. PLUTON has undergone an orthopedic procedure and requires regular rehabilitation, but he cooperates during the exercises, and even likes them and treats them as another joint activity. He needs a home, or an apartment with an elevator/ on previous acquaintance could live with a non-aggressive dog resident.

PL·Show original

Pluton ma 7 lat. Pluton to radosny pies, z którym można zbudować wspaniałą więź dając mu trochę czułości i obecności.

About PLUTON

What life with PLUTON looks like

PLUTON is a small adult dog waiting at Schronisko Kraków in Kraków.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Requires regular rehabilitation exercises for previous leg injury. Needs elevator access or ground floor. May be defensive in stressful situations due to past trauma.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting PLUTON, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PLUTON?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kraków handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PLUTON on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PLUTON if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kraków will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PLUTON already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PLUTON isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kraków early rather than rehoming privately; they know PLUTON and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
