- Poldi, the big guy with a baby face - Poldi is almost 3 years old and is slowly maturing :-) We took in Poldi from another animal welfare association to give him better chances for rehoming at our rural animal shelter. He is a mix of different herd protection breeds and is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable home that is enthusiastic about Herdis and can also bring the necessary prerequisites. Initially, he shows some reserve towards strangers, but he is always friendly. With his trusted people, he is very familiar and likes to fool around with them. Poldi is currently in training because he initially showed some unusual behavior when meeting other dogs. Here, he has made great progress. Walks with dog encounters are now becoming more relaxed. Poldi gets along well with large, mature female dogs. Small dogs and other male dogs are not to his taste. The HSH mix is looking for a home with a large fenced-in property, preferably a farm or something similar. Small children should not live in the home, but teenagers do not pose a problem.

Poldi ist ein imposanter Typ mit einem echten Babyface, der ursprünglich von einem anderen Tierschutzverein übernommen wurde, um seine Vermittlungschancen auf dem Land zu verbessern. Als Mischling verschiedener Herdenschutzhund-Rassen sucht er ein erfahrenes und sachkundiges Zuhause bei Menschen, die sich für Herdis begeistern und die passenden Grundvoraussetzungen mitbringen. Fremden gegenüber zeigt er sich zunächst reserviert, aber stets freundlich. Sobald er Vertrauen gefasst hat, ist er seinen Bezugspersonen sehr eng verbunden und blödelt für sein Leben gern mit ihnen herum. Bei Hundebegegnungen muss man Poldi aus der Verantwortung nehmen, dann sind diese mit etwas Abstand kein Problem mehr. Mit großen, gestandenen Hündinnen zeigt er sich gut verträglich, während kleine Hunde oder andere Rüden nicht nach seinem Geschmack sind. Auch Katzen und Kleintiere dürfen nicht im neuen Haushalt leben. Der charmante HSH-Mix träumt von einem Zuhause mit einem großen, gut eingezäunten Grundstück oder einem Bauernhof. Kleinkinder sollten nicht im selben Haushalt leben, mit standfesten Teenagern kommt er hingegen bestens zurecht.
