Poldi, the big guy with a baby face - Poldi is almost 3 years old and is slowly maturing :-) We took in Poldi from another animal welfare association to give him better chances for rehoming at our rural animal shelter. He is a mix of different herd protection breeds and is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable home that is enthusiastic about Herdis and can also bring the necessary prerequisites. Initially, he shows some reserve towards strangers, but he is always friendly. With his trusted people, he is very familiar and likes to fool around with them. Poldi is currently in training because he initially showed some unusual behavior when meeting other dogs. Here, he has made great progress. Walks with dog encounters are now becoming more relaxed. Poldi gets along well with large, mature female dogs. Small dogs and other male dogs are not to his taste. The HSH mix is looking for a home with a large fenced-in property, preferably a farm or something similar. Small children should not live in the home, but teenagers do not pose a problem.

Poldi ist eine echte Persönlichkeit – ein imposanter Kerl mit einem charmanten Babyface, der genau weiß, wie man Herzen im Sturm erobert. Als stolzer Mischling verschiedener Herdenschutzhund-Rassen sucht er ein passendes Traumzuhause bei echten Kennern und Fans dieser Rasse, die genau wissen, worauf es bei einem Herdi ankommt. Fremden gegenüber zeigt er sich anfangs typisch reserviert, aber stets freundlich. Hat er erst einmal Vertrauen gefasst, schließt er seine Menschen tief ins Herz und zeigt seine verspielte Seite, denn zum Blödeln ist er immer aufgelegt. Bei Hundebegegnungen braucht Poldi klare Orientierung und jemanden, der ihn souverän aus der Verantwortung nimmt; mit etwas Abstand klappt das dann völlig entspannt. Mit großen, souveränen Hündinnen versteht er sich gut, während kleine Hunde, andere Rüden, Katzen und Kleintiere nicht in sein Beuteschema passen. Für sein großes Happy End träumt der charmante Riese von einem großen, gut eingezäunten Grundstück oder am besten einem Bauernhof, auf dem er sich frei bewegen kann. Er wünscht sich hundeerfahrene Menschen an seiner Seite. Kleinkinder sollten nicht im Haushalt leben, mit standfesten Teenagern kommt er hingegen bestens zurecht.
